About Asbury

Asbury Church is a faith-based community of believers living into the likeness of Christ. We seek to grow toward wholeness and holiness by following Christ’s example of worship and service. Asbury Church is a community of Christians bound together by God’s grace.

Our mission is to live out the Great Commission (to go to all the world and tell the good news of God’s grace in Jesus Christ) by living into the greatest commandment (to love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength).

Asbury is a United Methodist congregation, but people of many different denominational backgrounds and of no religious affiliation find a home here. We are committed to making a difference by learning from and living with Jesus.

Members of Asbury Church live out our identity of “Salt and Light” in many ways.  We support missions around the world that make a difference. A number of our folks travel on foreign mission trips each year (Honduras, Costa Rica, Nepal, Romania) to build churches, to teach, and to learn among the people in those countries. And, of course, we don’t have to go around the world to serve. Asbury also does local mission work and disaster relief in the United States, plus we host BaseCamp, a youth mission/service camp each summer in Petal and Hattiesburg.

We invite you to join us for worship each Sunday at 8:20 and 10:40 a.m. as we seek to live as the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

Jesus said:
“You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5.13-14)
